Q: Hi... I want to know if the air can pass through the valve while in straight and level flight? In other words, when using in fuel tank vent, does the tank vent in level flight through this valve or does it (tank) need another vent line? Thanks....
Per the manufacturer: Yes it is designed to go in the vent line to allow air in and prevent fuel escaping from the tanks....provided it is connected the correct way round!......always get it checked by your aircraft engineer for correct installation.
Q: What is the difference between those that are yes for bleed vs. no for bleed?
Per the supplier: Optionally a bleed can be fitted to the valve, here the internal shuttle has been drilled with two small holes. This allows for bleed back to occur. This particular valve is useful in the vent line of a fuel system where allowance for fuel expansion is necessary.
Q: What is the weight of CK375 valve?
Approx 0.75 lbs.
Q: When the valve is installed for a fuel vent which way does the arrow point to the tank or away from the tank?
The arrow would need to point in the direction of flow. So it would point away from the tank.
Q: Can this Andair Bleed One-Way Check Valve be used in any position?
Yes, this can be used in any position.
