For instrument pilots, entering a holding pattern can sometimes be a challenge. The Instrument Pilots Whiz Wheel can alleviate this challenge by presenting pilots with pictorial views of both right- and lefthand holding patterns, and entry arcs for direct, parallel, and teardrop holding pattern entries.
Made of sturdy plastic, the Whiz Wheel works for VOR, NDB (nondirectional beacon), and localized facilities. Intercept angles are at the pilot's fingertips, and procedure turn information can readily be obtained by following the "prompts" on the device and aligning these prompts with the Whiz Wheel's compass marking.
